Colac is a good stop off point from Melbourne on the way to the Great Otway National Park and the delights of the Great Ocean Road. This is Otways country, rich volcanic plains and a spectacular and diverse part of the Otway Ranges hinterland. Colac is situated just 50 minutes from Geelong and sits beside picturesque Lake Colac.
