Johanna River Farm and Cottages are located just
off the Great Ocean Road in the beautiful Johanna Valley - in the foothills
of the Otway Ranges. Just 4 kilometres from Johanna Beach our cottages
are central to all of the major tourist
attractions of the Otways. Johanna remains a brilliant green for
most of the year and the ever changing colours of the ocean make a perfect
backdrop no matter what the season. All our guests are more than welcome
to explore the entire farm - a short walk through the orchard to the
fern gully or a longer walk down along the river discovering cascades
and hidden pristine forest. We are also en route to the famous Shipwreck
Coast and its many attractions including the 12 Apostles. |

Johanna River Farm and Cottages is a working sheep farm but is also host to a wide range of other farm critters. It is home to Bowie the Border Collie, Mr. Magoo, Petal & Blossom the pet sheep, Elvis the Alpaca and his friends, Pickles the donkey, Holli & Chilli the miniature horses and a small clan of Highland cows. And of course there are the locals who sometimes drop in for a visit, echidnas, platypus and always an abundance of native birds. As you can see, we love animals and you are welcome to bring yours. A yard off the cottage is provided for your dog, inside bedding. towels, feed bowls and information on lots of pet friendly places to visit in our area. Johanna Beach happens to be the only beach in Australia within a National Park where dogs are permitted. Don't forget the leash. |

Our pet friendly cottages are located
in a lovely, mature grove of both native and foreign trees. A shaded
barbecue area is located within this grove. All are fully self contained
including a wood fire ( lots of wood supplied in the cottage ) private
veranda and ocean and/or valley views. We have queen size master bedrooms
with quality linen; doonas and towels are provided as are TV, VCR, CD
stereo and a selection of books, magazines and a complimentary video
library. Our luxury one bedroom cottage for couples is beautifully located
with valley and forest views. It even has its own dam which is home
on occasion to our local platypus. A cosy, secluded romantic retreat
for couples. |
