Princetown is your last port of call before the 12 Apostles. It’s a small village which borders the lower Gellibrand River. It’s an absolutely beautiful spot with wetlands complete with boardwalks and plenty of appreciative birdlife. The river is a favourite for both anglers and kayakers. The river mouth is close by and is a must if you have the time as you’ll find yourself on what will most probably be a magnificent and deserted beach. You may have to share it with the odd surfer. The town has two small shops where you can buy foodstuffs and so on. You won’t find any 5 star accommodation venues here but you will find some unique properties with friendly, country hospitality.
